One of the most widely used materials for this type of application is alumina. The main characteristics of this material are thermal resistivity, electrical insulation, hardness, chemical stability and wear resistance. <\/p>\n\n
If a lower degree of insulation is required, insulators can also be made from materials called silicates. <\/p>\n\n
These materials, while relatively cheaper, have relatively good strength and hardness.
